Inspiration for Life

Blog
A blog has the potential to be a wonderful tool for
living communication of knowledge and inspiration.
We all have our own experience of life, and mine
has led me to extend the role of my profession to
include the search for a life of genuine beauty. I
feel that the potential for each person to embrace
their gifts (so often misinterpreted as weaknesses)
and to create a life of purpose and goodness is
virtually limitless. This blog is my own experiment
in sharing.
In my experience the pursuit of genuine beauty requires having your feet on the ground, your heart open and your mind awake and present to life and the moment. This combination of qualities is, in reality, one quality - intention - but in a practical way one builds this foundation by focusing on the following three facets of life.
First, the ground. To have your feet on the ground one needs to eat well, drink adequate fluids, support systemic weaknesses with herbal formulae, and create a lifestyle with a balance of exercise, rest, creativity, social interaction, work and play. Second, to open ones heart one needs to practise forgiveness, compassion, kindness and speak and 'think' the truth. And third, to have an awake mind means to be 'here' while you do it. Without this key ingredient of mindfulness, the singular intention of what you do becomes lost and it becomes impossible to achieve genuine depth in self healing.
Reconnecting with inspiration is a wonderful tool in achieving and maintaining mindfulness, and it is my goal with this blog to offer, in the ways that I can, support and inspiration for this way of life.
Naturally it will take some time before there are more than a handful of posts here to read. Over time I will be posting on a wide range of subjects including supportive therapies, healing diets, organic foods, lovingkindness, the contemplative arts, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I hope you enjoy this site and glean some of my own inspiration for a life of truth, goodness and beauty:)
