The School of Natural Medicine is created by individuals with a PASSION for genuine holistic healing. Each of our teachers has devoted their lives not only to study, practise and research but also to their personal evolution and self healing.

When students enroll in our school they become members of an international family of inspired, caring and authentic healers.

Just as students wish to find the right school for them, where they will be supported in their studies, nurtured as future health care practitioners and respected as an adult learner with their own goals and aspiration, we are looking for a particular kind of student.

The students that are right for our school are committed, inspired, excited to learn, thrilled that they get to be part of a school that will support their own self healing, willing to work hard and who know that a caring and compassionate heart is a vital part of being an effective practitioner.

We accept students from all walks of life, of all ages and in all life circumstances. We individually tailor study plans to support the differing needs of full time students, working students, students who are parents and have limited study time available, students who are already professional healers and students who are on 'long term' study plans due to life commitments or finances.

Our Founder is Dr Farida Sharan, a leading pioneer in the world of Iridology and Natural Medicine. The author of numerous books including the classics 'Iridology - A complete guide to diagnosing through the Iris and to related forms of treatment', 'Herbs of Grace' and 'Creative Menopause', Farida Sharan has trained many of the leading natural health practitioners in the world today.

Farida's passion for healing and research has led her to live an amazing life, studying with many of the great Naturopaths and Healers of the 20th Century and graduating thousands of her own students worldwide.

Our Director is Bonny Casel, a major contributor to the research and practise of Iridology and Natural Medicine in the UK, US and Asia. Bonny has more than twenty years of clinical experience, has directed three high end Natural Healing Centres in Asia, has completed a 5 year in depth comparative study of constitutional types in Traditional Medicine, including Ayurevedic, Chinese, Tibetan, Nepali, Japanese, Cambodian and Thai traditional medical systems, and integrated this knowledge with research into the constitutional types found in Faridian Iridology. With these studies Bonny has created a complete constitutional and systemic approach to Naturopathic Iridology with a remarkable degree of effectiveness in practise. Bonny is also a gifted teacher with a focus on developing personal and genuine teacher/student relationships. Bonny is the primary tutor at the School of Natural Medicine UK.

Brigitte Mars has long been a favourite at the School of Natural Medicine. She has been teaching our wildcrafting, herb identification and practical clinical herbal preparation classes for more than twenty years. Brigitte has written several successful books on herbal medicine and raw food including 'Rawsome', 'Addiction Free Naturally', 'The Desktop Guide to Herbal Medicine' and many more.
